World history: Photographs of political leaders of the mid XX century are presented at the exhibition in Moscow

In the White Hall of the Center of Photography of Lumiere brothers (Moscow) is opened the exhibition "Mikhail Savin. Winter will be cold", dedicated to the century anniversary of photographer Mikhail Savin - a war correspondent, special correspondent of the magazine "Ogonyok", author of the famous political chronicle of 1960s in photographs.

The exhibition, which received its name from the phrase of John F. Kennedy once sounded on the eve of the period of complications in relations between the USSR and the USA, gathered photos from official meetings, M. S. Khrushchev with European and American leaders, sketches from the life of Europe in the middle of the last century, numerous landscapes of Savin. In addition to the 60 hand-printed photographs the collection includes newsreels of summits, audio of Khrushchev's memoirs, diary pages of Mikhail Savin, magazines and newspapers of those years.
