World culture: Moscow Kremlin Museums to receive the Victorian chain of Nicholas II from the Royal collection of Great Britain

February 25, 2016 in the Armory of the Moscow Kremlin is held a solemn ceremony of transfer of the unique subject - the Victorian circuit of Nicholas II from the Royal British collection to the collection of the Moscow Kremlin.

This chain has been found in the collection of Academician A. L. Khazin during the preparation of the exhibition "Knight of the Order of Europe", which was held in the Moscow Kremlin Museum from 24 April to 30 August 2015. The study of this subject by specialists of the Moscow Kremlin, as well as consultations with colleagues from the Royal Collection of Windsor led to the conclusion circuit supplies last ruler of the Russian Empire.  

According to the rules, after the death of the gentleman the chain should have been returned to the state, to reward him, but the Royal Victorian Chain was sold by the Bolsheviks after the transfer of dismantled evacuees values ​​from the Armory to Gokhran in 1922, after which the trail was lost.

At the end of the exhibition the owner of the Victorian chain Academician A. L. Khazin has sent an official appeal to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with the proposal to transfer the sign of the English side. In response, it was received a letter informing you of the decision of the Crown - Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II expressed a desire to Victorian chain after it becomes part of the historical Royal Collection, was transferred to the Moscow Kremlin Museums in the long-term lease, so many visitors of Armory had the opportunity to see this unique piece.
