Museums and society: The All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “The Regional Museum: history, collections, people” in Kirovsk

21-22 April 2016 in the Kirov Regional Museum is held the All-Russian scientific-practical conference "The Regional Museum: History, collections, people".

The conference is timed to the 150th anniversary since the founding of the museum. Applications for participation in scientific forum were made by representatives of museums, archives, libraries and educational institutions, scientists and local historians from the 30 regions of Russia, as well as from the Republic of Belarus.

Events of the first day of the conference, in addition to the plenary session include the presentation of the book publications of the museum, as well as the solemn meeting devoted to the anniversary of the museum. The latter will be attended by representatives of governments, businesses, partners, colleagues, scientific and creative community of the Kirov region and other regions of Russia.

In the second day of the conference are planned breakout sessions in the following areas: "The development of museums in Russia"; "Problems of acquisition, storage, use and attribution of museum objects and collections"; "Contemporary museum: tradition and new forms of work"; "Actual problems of regional history and culture".

Guests can also get acquainted with the jubilee exhibition "Pearl of Vyatka antiquity".
