It began accepting applications for participation in the next International Olympiad on the Russian language. It is held among foreign students. It is organized by the International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature with the support of the federal education department and Rossotrudnichestvo.

This year's Olympiad will be the fourteenth in a row. Participants expect some innovations. In particular, the preliminary round and semi-finals will be conducted remotely. In addition, the competition is divided into two nominations. The first will determine the winner among the students who study Russian as a foreign language. In the second - among those who study in Russian.

It was also decided to hold the Olympiad every year.

Five winners in each category will receive certificates for education in Russian universities for linguistic or philological program.

To get to the semi-finals, participants are required to cope with the tasks of the test, then they are waiting for creative and lexical and grammatical tasks. It will also be necessary to answer the questions on country of Russia. Among the tests of the Olympiad finals - an essay, oral presentation, assignments on the regional geography.

Olympiad finals will be held in autumn this year.
