The Presidential Library: New acquisitions

The Presidential Library collection has been enriched with videos of its own production.

- Video films

 The first film (18 min. 37 sec.) is dedicated to the President of Russia personal library in funds which has more than two million units of storage: the Russian and foreign books, magazines, newspapers, official documents and electronic publications. The filmmakers talk in detail about the main storage of the personal exhibit in the library of the President - the inaugural copy of the Russian Constitution. Separately are presented publications received as a gift to the President of the Russian Federation, as well as almost all of the articles and books devoted to the head of state, the publication of his speeches. In addition, the film introduces the representational functions of the library as a place of meeting of the President with scientists, writers and members of the public.  

In the film Symbols of presidential power (30 min.) are presented standard, and the sign of the President of Russia. It is told about the special copy of the Russian Constitution, the President of the inauguration of the procedure, as well as the establishment of the State heraldic service.

 The film "From the history of constitutionalism in Russia: drafts and constitutions of the XVIII-XX centuries". Part 1: The constitutional projects in Russia in the XVIII-XX centuries. (10 min. 16 sec.), Part 2: Constitution of the XX century (8 min 55 sec), Part 3: The History of the creation and adoption of the Constitution of the Russian Federation (12 min. 52 sec.) tells the story of the exhibition, which was held within the walls of the Presidential Library to December 12 2013 to April 11, 2014. The exhibition has been devoted to the development of constitutional ideas in Russia since the first attempts to limit autocracy using Conditions - conditions set by the Supreme Privy Council of future Empress Anna Ivanovna at her invitation to the throne in 1730 and the "Mandate of the Commission on the establishment of a new Code" of Catherine II to the more decorated ideas of Alexander I, Alexander II and Nicholas II. The exhibition also presents the Constitution of the RSFSR, the USSR and the Russian Federation. 

The film "To approve Russian court soon, right, sir, and equal for all…": 1864. To the 150th anniversary of the judicial reform (13 min. 16 sec.) is dedicated to the exhibition, which tells about the main stages of the proceedings in the history of Russia and the preparation of the judicial reform of 1864 In its original form and digitized the documents, laws, studies, the first legal statutes, memoirs of contemporaries and other materials.

Film Fact and image: history in the works of Russian literature in the XVIII-XX centuries (13 min. 34 sec.) introduces the exhibition, dedicated to the reflection of historical events in Russian classical literature. In the original and digitized view are presented as art works, copies of archival documents, scientific papers, various illustrative material, including costumes for theatrical productions of the second half of the XIX and XX centuries, inspired by the literary works of Mikhail Lermontov, Ivan Turgenev, Mikhail Bulgakov.

The film's Most deliberate city - a monument created by the government (12 min. 43 sec.) presents an exhibition about the history of foundation and development of the historical center of St. Petersburg in the period from 1703 to 1820 through documents - maps of the city XVIII-XIX centuries, copies of archive files, books and periodicals.

Information video Educational activity of the Presidential Library: academic year 2014/2015, 2015/2016 (4 min. 13 sec.) is dedicated to educational programs, projects and activities carried out by the Presidential Library: Olympiad "Russia in the digital world", a multimedia lesson "The fact and the image of Russian history in the works of Russian writers, video lecture "Knowledge of Russia", digital collections.

The infomercials Educational and methodological activities of the Presidential Library: academic year 2014/2015, 2015/2016 (11 min. 37 sec.) describes the educational and teaching programs, projects and activities carried out by the Presidential Library: Olympiad "Russia in the digital world", multimedia lessons and prepare video "Knowledge of Russia", digital collections, conferences and seminars on the establishment and improvement of the regulatory framework to describe electronic resources and digital collections, the development of a network of centers of remote access to library resources and information and methodical support of the educational activities of the branch in Tyumen region. 

Teaching film Multimedia lesson of literature in the Presidential Library (9 min. 31 sec.) is dedicated to the educational project "The fact and the image of Russian history in the works of Russian writers" timed to the announced in 2015 in the Year of Russian literature. To participate in it are invited students of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region. During the lesson, the students visited the multimedia hall, exhibition halls, electronic reading room, where they met with literary figures and historical facts, the reign of Ivan the Terrible, the Time of Troubles, formation and prosperity of the Russian Empire in the XVIII century, socio-economic and socio-political development of Russia in the XIX century, the dramatic and heroic XX century. The lesson also includes the performance of the creative task. In the halls of multimedia lesson, participants discussed the draft prepared by them and chose the best of them by means of the electronic voting system. 

The training film 1825. Reflections on the fate of Russia (21 min. 50 sec.) describes the Russian socio-political system in the first quarter of the XIX century, on the premises, the causes and course of the uprising of the Decembrists in 1825, on the impact of the uprising on the development of political thought in Russia.
