Museums of Russia: The exhibition, dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the State Tretyakov Gallery, is held in Moscow under the open sky

The exhibition, which was opened at the festival site in Lavrushinsky Lane, is dedicated to the history of the State Tretyakov Gallery. It is located next to the historic museum building. The opening of the new exhibition is timed to the anniversary of the Tretyakov Gallery - this year it marks the one hundred and sixty years.

Residents and guests of the capital will have a unique opportunity to see historical documents and photographs from various archives. In total, the exhibition includes more than three thousand exhibits.

Exhibition space is decorated in a maze of art. Its main part is about the life and work of the founder of the museum - philanthropist Pavel Tretyakov. There you can learn about how to start forming his collection, presented the history of the artists and their work, which can be seen today in the Tretyakov Gallery.

Another part of the exhibition tells about the most ancient crafts and trades, as well as fairy tales and epics.
