Information technology and Russian regions: historical-cultural project "Mobile Guide" is presented in Chelyabinsk in the framework of activities to the 280th anniversary of the city

In Chelyabinsk is launched the city historical-cultural project "Mobile Guide" in the framework of the events dedicated to the 280th anniversary of the city.

"Mobile Guide" includes two walking tours of the historic center of Chelyabinsk: "Architectural Kirovka" and "In the name of Pushkin". Each route takes you through the important objects of Chelyabinsk - historical and architectural monuments of federal and regional significance. 

To listen to personal audio tour "Mobile Guide" and to get information about each of the sites, residents and guests of Chelyabinsk can do from their smartphones and tablets. It is sufficient to establish izi.travel free app and choose from a list of interesting route. The service is available for devices running Android, iOS, and Windows Phone.

"First of all, the project aims to enhance the cultural and tourist attraction of Chelyabinsk. For librarians the project "Mobile Guide" - is also a new way to promote local history information in a format suitable for the modern users. We hope that residents and visitors will be interesting to walk along Kirovka and Pushkin places in Chelyabinsk, as well as to get acquainted with their history, architecture features and modern appearance, - noted director of the Centralized Library System of Chelyabinsk Svetlana Anischenko.
