Memorable dates of Russia: Decree on celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Stalingrad in 2018 is signed

President of Russia Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on celebrating the 75th anniversary of the defeat of the Soviet troops of Nazi troops in the Battle of Stalingrad. The document was published on the official website of legal information.

"Given the particular importance of the defeat of the Soviet troops of Nazi troops in the Battle of Stalingrad in order to achieve victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, and in connection with the executable February 2, 2018 the 75th anniversary of this historic event, I order to form an organizing committee for the preparation and celebration", - stated in the decree.

The organizing committee will be headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Government Dmitry Rogozin.

The President also instructed government within a month to approve the composition of the committee on organizing the celebrations, to develop together with the organizing committee "Victory" and approve the plan of actions.
