The new exhibition "1857", which is opened on November 16, 2017 in the Museum "Postal business of Simbirsk-Ulyanovsk", was not by chance received such a name. 1857 is the beginning of the history of postage stamps in Russia. The postage stamp is a special document that tells about historical events that are reflected not only in the subjects of stamps themselves, but also in various overprints that indicate a change in state ownership or the form of government.
