Another meeting as part of the lecture course "Reading Solzhenitsyn" was held in Penza

July 18 the Lermontov Penza Regional Library hosted the seventh meeting as part of the project "Reading Solzhenitsyn". It was about Alexander Solzhenitsyn’s Noble lecture, the text of which was written in 1972 and printed in the West. In the USSR it was first published in the years of perestroika.

The participants of the meeting studied up on the content of the lecture, its thoughts and ideas, many of which are relevant to this day.

On the Presidential Library website Penza Region is represented by the collection "Penza Region: Pages of History". The collection includes archive documents, essays, studies and statistical materials covering the demographic, geographic, socio-economic, socio-political and other aspects of the history of the Penza region at the end of the XVIII century and the first third of the XX century. The current charter of the region is also presented.
