8 August 2018

The head of the youth organization "Association of International Public Development" Vadim Roshmanov met with the head of the Russian Cultural and Information Center in Sofia Pavel Zhuravlyov to discuss the interaction in the field of education.

During the meeting, issues of cooperation in the field of informing Bulgarian citizens about the possibility of receiving education in Russia within the quotas of the Government of the Russian Federation, as well as through participation in competitive selection for training in Russian universities on intra-university quotas were discussed.

In April 2017, a three-party agreement was signed between the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, the AIPD organization and the Slavians Foundation on allocating quotas to Bulgarian students for university studies.

In order to provide this work in Bulgaria, AIPD signed an agreement with the Center for Training Programs of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria, and in the near future a tripartite meeting is planned to discuss the formats for further cooperation.

The AIPD representative noted the importance of developing exchange programs for young entrepreneurs in Russia and Bulgaria. For its part, the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Bulgaria offered to make a corresponding presentation at the Forum of Russian and Bulgarian Twin Cities, which will be held in Varna in September 2018, with an emphasis on inter-municipal cooperation and partnership relations between Bulgarian and Russian cities.

The portal of the Presidential Library features the electronic collection "Russia-Bulgaria: from the history of relations", which includes official documents, archival affairs, studies and other materials covering the socio-political and cultural development of Bulgaria and certain issues of relations between Bulgaria and Russia in various historical periods.
