Specialist’s Day in the Republic of Crimea

On October 16, 2018, Specialist’s Day “Our Information Is Your Success!” was held at the I. Y. Franco Crimean Republican Universal Research Library.

In the course of the event, teachers of secondary schools in Simferopol learned about the electronic content of the Central Library of Crimea, in particular, with the unique resources of the Presidential Library, which is running as a state-wide electronic repository of digital copies of the most important documents on the history, theory and practice of the Russian statehood, Russian language, and multimedia multifunctional (cultural, educational, research, educational and informational-analytical) center, which has the status of National Library of Russia.

Specialists of the digital resources department of the I. Y. Franco Crimean Republican Universal Research Library told about the opportunities of the Presidential Library portal and its educational projects aimed at deepening the interest of modern youth in the history of Russia. For example, the annual interactive Olympiad for high school students “Russia in the Electronic World” is held with the aim of referring students to sources on the history of our country, the theory and practice of Russian statehood. The presentation of the new informational and educational project “Gosudarika” for schoolchildren is factor in. With it, children can independently or together with the teacher get familiar with the main sources on the history of the Russian statehood and the Russian language.

The website of the Presidential Library of the Republic of Crimea is represented by the collection “Republic of Crimea: Pages of History”. The selection includes studies, essays, archival documents, photographs and other materials introducing the administrative, socio-economic, socio-political and cultural development of the peninsula from the most ancient times to the early 20th century.
