On the pages of the “Kuzbass” regional newspaper timed to the Day of the Russian press, on January 13, an article “A newspaper lives one day ... and forever” appeared on the work of the laboratory for digitizing documents, which is part of the regional center of the Presidential Library, running on the basis of the V. D. Fyodorov Kemerovo Regional Research Library.

Employees of the regional center told how the history of Kuzbass is preserved in electronic collections and scanned old newspapers. At the end of 2018, about 70% of all Kuzbass newspapers from the collections of the Fyodorov Library were scanned. About 30 thousand issues that were released before 1950 are presented in the electronic catalog in the public domain. The rest of the digitized copies are available in the library.

“Kuzbass” newspaper has been published since 1922. On the website of the V. D. Fyodorov Kemerovo Regional Research Library anyone can "look through" its issues for the 1924th and from 1932 to 1949.

On the website of the Presidential Library, the region is represented by the collection “Kemerovo Region: Pages of History”. The proposed collection includes studies, statistical materials and archival documents of the second half of the XIX - early XX century, describing the administrative, socio-economic, demographic and ethnographic position of the Mariinsky and Kuznetsk districts, the territory of which forms the basis of the modern Kemerovo Region.
