“The Voice of the Future” seminar held in Chelyabinsk

On May 13, 2019, the Chelyabinsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library, based on the Chelyabinsk Regional Universal Research Library, received the participants of the interactive seminar “The Voice of the Future”. Within the event, prepared jointly with the Youth Election Commission of Chelyabinsk Region, senior pupils and students from universities in various municipalities of the region, including winners of the regional selection rounds of the “President” board game, learned the basics of electoral law, practiced the techniques and skills of participating in the election campaign.

In the course of the seminar block on the basics of electoral law, the seminar participants were introduced to the resources and educational projects of the Presidential Library, in particular, the State Authority collection and the Symbols of Presidential Authority collection from the Presidential Library’s collections.

The seminar ended with awarding the winners. Chairman of the election commission of Chelyabinsk Region Sergey Obertas thanked the participants and expressed the hope that the activity of young people in the electoral process would increase.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection “Chelyabinsk Region: Pages of History”. It includes digital copies of studies, essays, archival documents, statistical materials, photographs and sound recordings covering geographical, demographic, socio-economic, socio-political and other aspects of the history of the region.
