The Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library presents the exhibition “Development of Siberia and the Far East”

The Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library presents the exposition “Development of Siberia and the Far East”.

The exhibition showcases books, maps, technical drawings and other materials, which trace the history of Russia from the 16th century to the 19th century and the development of the lands of Siberia and the Far East. The exhibits spotlight the Siberian maritime route, new borders of the Russian state and relations with the indigenous peoples and neighboring countries.

Traditionally, the exhibition presents the Presidential Library’s collections: visitors can study the collections The Russian Far East – World Economic OutpostDevelopment of the Arctic, and some other relevant documents.

The collection Sverdlovsk Region: Pages of History is available on the Presidential Library’s portal. It features electronic copies of studies, essays and photographs of the 19th - early 20th centuries. The materials spotlight the geographical, demographic, socio-economic and socio-political aspects of the history of this region.
