Webinar "Victory was forged in the Urals" features the feat of home front workers

On October 29, 2020, an online webinar "Victory was forged in the Urals" was held at the Chelyabinsk Regional Universal Scientific Library with the support of the Presidential Library.

In 2020, President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed a decree “On conferring the title of the Russian Federation “City of Labor Valor”. Seven out of 20 cities were awarded this high title: Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg, Perm, Nizhny Tagil, Magnitogorsk, Izhevsk, Ufa. All of them are located in Ural Region.

A collection of posters and postcards dedicated to labor during the Great Patriotic War was presented to the participants from the Presidential Library’s collections at the end of the event.

The Presidential Library’s portal provides access to the electronic collection "Chelyabinsk Region: Pages of History". It includes official and archival documents, studies, essays, statistical, graphic, cartographic and other materials that spotlight the administrative structure, geographical location, demographic, economic, socio-political and other aspects of the history of Chelyabinsk Region.
