This year, the traditional annual news conference of the head of state, due to restrictions associated with the epidemiological situation, was held in a new format - a videoconference mode with elements of a direct line: the head of state and a small pool of journalists were at the Novo-Ogaryovo residence, representatives of the federal and foreign press - in the World Trade Center in Moscow, regional journalists - at separate sites in different federal districts: in Tula, St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Stavropol, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk and Vladivostok.

In total, 774 journalists were accredited for the news conference of the head of state, of which 68 were accredited to the Presidential Library.

The 16th big news conference of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin lasted four and a half hours. During this time, the head of state answered more than 50 questions from journalists, as well as appeals received by the call center from individuals. The answers of the head of state concerned the most pressing issues, the assessment of the work of the government and governors, as well as the most important topics: the pandemic, the country's social and economic development, domestic and foreign policy.

The Presidential Library is the largest multifunctional information, research, educational and cultural center, which includes electronic reading and exhibition halls, multimedia and television complexes, as well as a conference room where public and state events, including the highest level, are held.
