22 March 2021

Exhibition of works by the Italian artist Ombretta Del Monte “Amedeo and Anna: Art and Love” is underway at the Russian House in Rome.

The exposition is dedicated to the great figures of the history of literature and art - the poetess Anna Akhmatova and the artist Amedeo Modigliani. “This is my opportunity to pay tribute to two geniuses of the early 20th century. Pictures, drawings, excerpts from poems by Akhmatova and Modigliani's aphorisms - all this allowed me to create a unique space, with every detail talking about a Russian poet and an Italian artist” - said the author of the works.

Those interested in the life and career of Anna Akhmatova have opportunity to refer to the electronic collections of the Presidential Library: in addition to historical documents reflecting the events of the Silver Age it also includes research by modern philologists, a number of abstracts: “The artistic world of Anna Akhmatova. Only a part of the unique digitized materials is available Presidential Library’s portal.
