Kurgan Regional Centre of the Presidential Library broadcasted live on Radio Rossii

Rimma Nasyrova, specialist of the Regional Centre of the Presidential Library at the A. K. Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Scientific Library, took part in the Radio Rossii - Kurgan program.

The live broadcast was devoted to the International Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Fascist Terror, which has been celebrated annually since 1962 on the second Sunday of September.

Rimma Nasyrova spoke in detail about the unique collection of digitized archival documents, film and photo materials World War II in Archival Documents, available on the Presidential Library's portal.

In 2020, the collection featured more than 1,700 archival documents, photographs, newsreel fragments representing the prehistory of World War II from January 1933 to August 31, 1939. Another 3.5 thousand documents, photographs and newsreels of the period starting September 1, 1939, to June 22, 1941, entered the collection on September 3, 2021. Among them are recently declassified documents that show the growing aggression of Nazi Germany and its satellites and the events that led to the German attack on the USSR and the beginning of the Great Patriotic War.

During the conversation, the radio listeners learned which materials are available on this resource and how the residents of Kurgan Region may explore them.

Currently, 22 Centres for Remote Access to the Presidential Library's Resources are successfully working at municipal libraries and educational institutions of Kurgan Region.

The Presidential Library opened to date more than 1200 Centres for Remote Access in all 85 regions of Russia.
