The Presidential Library attends the International Practical Conference

October 19-20 the Presidential Library attends the International Scientific and Practical Conference Library Science in the XXI Century: Content, Organization, Digitalization and Scientometrics.

The purpose of the event is to update the topic and identify factors that stimulate the study of the librarianship, discuss issues of organizing and assessing the effectiveness of library science, exchange of innovative experience in the digitalization of scientific activities.

The conference focuses on such issues as the role and importance of science in the implementation of state library policy; conditions and forms of organizing scientific activities in the library; library as a subject of scientific research and as an object of study; priority directions of library science, bibliographical and bibliological research: traditions and innovations in scientific publishing activities of libraries; the place of professional library periodicals in modern scientific communication; modern methods of assessing scientific activity; issues of implementation and prospects for the use of digital technologies in library science; problems and prospects of training highly qualified personnel.

The event is attended by the heads of libraries and their deputies for scientific (methodological) work, heads and employees of scientific and scientific and methodological departments of libraries, as well as representatives of state authorities and public organizations, cultural universities, other educational institutions, scientific organizations, publishing houses and professional media.

The conference hosts a seminar on working with scientometric systems and a master class on preparing articles for publication in journals of a high scientific level.

The event is held in face-to-face and distance format.
