Interactive lesson held at the Rostov Regional Center of the Presidential Library

On December 12 our country celebrates a public holiday - the Constitution Day of the Russian Federation. On the eve of the holiday, the specialists of the Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on of the Don State Public Library held an interactive lesson for students of the construction college "The Russian Constitution: From Ideas to Implementation". The participants learned about the history of the creation and adoption of the current Constitution of the Russian Federation.

Students split into three groups, created teams and answered quiz questions. The assignments were based on several video tours of the Presidential Library’s exhibition The History of Constitutionalism in Russia: Drafts and Constitutions of the 18th-20th Centuries: Constitutional Projects in Russia of the 18th-20th Centuries ..., Constitutions of the 20th Century, History of Creation and the adoption of the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

After each video watched, the participants tested their knowledge and earned points for their team. As a result of the intellectual struggle, the Secret Party team won. Two other teams Builders and Atlant in heated disputes and discussions just slightly yielded to their classmates.

A unique collection of documents from the national electronic library contains digital copies of official documents, as well as research, journalism, memoirs, video materials related to the final stage of work on the draft Constitution of the Russian Federation in 1993.

The collection contains documents spotlighting the direct participation of the President of the Russian Federation in the work on the draft Constitution in May - November 1993, the work of the Constitutional Conference, which opened in the Kremlin on June 5, 1993. The process of approval by the state bodies of the Russian Federation and the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, people's deputies, local self-government bodies, experts, public organizations, the business community of the draft Constitution is shown, materials related to the conduct of a nationwide vote on the draft Constitution on December 12, 1993 are presented. Of interest are documents from private collections of direct participants in the development of the text of the Constitution, video recordings of their speeches.

The collection provides the atmosphere of working over the project giving a deeper understanding of the historical significance of the Constitution of the Russian Federation.
