Soiree of Fyodor Dostoevsky

A literary soiree dedicated to Fyodor Dostoevsky was held at the Russian House in Cairo with the support of the Egyptian Association of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities. The meeting was held as part of the 53rd Cairo International Book Fair.

Among the guests of the soiree were the former Deputy Minister of Culture of Egypt, Professor Anwar Ibrahim, the head of the Russian Language Department of the Faculty of Linguistics of Ain Shams University, Mohammed Nasr Al-Gibali, the head of the Russian House in Cairo, Marat Gatin. The soiree was attended by the famous Egyptian actor Mukhi Ismail, who played one of the main roles in the film "The Brothers Karamazov" and was awarded the Tashkent Film Festival in the nomination "Best Actor".

The speeches of the meeting participants resonated with the public, which is fond of Russian literature, the life and career of Fyodor Mikhailovich.

A lot of materials devoted to Russian writer are available in the large-scale electronic collection of the Presidential Library Fyodor Dostoevsky (1821–1881) which includes digital copies of the texts of his works and publications about the life and career of the writer.

Part of the materials of the electronic collections of the Presidential Library is available on the institution’s portal. They are fully available in the information resources of the library in remote access centers opened in more than 30 foreign countries.
