The promotion of libraries in the media space discussed in Yekaterinburg

The Belinsky Sverdlovsk Regional Universal Scientific Library hosted the XII International Library Conference #Confa_NEconfa “Prose of Life: a Paradigm Shift”. More than 60 specialists from different regions of the country attended the conference, more than 700 participants connected online.

Roman Dorokhin, Deputy Minister of Culture of Sverdlovsk Region, welcomed the event participants. The conference was attended by Yekaterina Yegoshina, Director of the All-Russian Youth Forum "Territory of Meanings", Candidate of Economic Sciences, teacher-mentor in the framework of courses on student entrepreneurship at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (National Research University) and MGIMO (University) of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The two-day business program of the event included meetings, workshops and educational practical module. All participants were divided into six communities, where, under the guidance of mentors - leading federal experts - they solved problematic cases and identified new ideas aimed at developing libraries. The leading manager of the Tyumen branch of the Presidential Library, Yaroslavna Soglaeva, also acted as a mentor, who conducted an author's workshop on library marketing.

The main feature of #Confa_NEconfa 2022 is the integration with the projects of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs. The highlight of the conference was the internship of the leaders of library promotion at the Regional Management Center of Sverdlovsk Region.

The event organizers are the Ministry of Culture of Sverdlovsk Region and the Belinsky Sverdlovsk Regional Universal Scientific Library under the auspices of the Russian Library Association with information support from the Presidential Library and partner support from the Directorate of the All-Russian Youth Forum "Territory of Meanings".

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Sverdlovsk Region: Pages of History. It includes statistical materials, studies, essays and photographs of the 19th - early 20th centuries covering various aspects of the development of the region.
