Tambov Regional center of the Presidential Library joined Victory Dictation campaign

On April 26, 2024, specialists of the Regional Center of the Presidential Library took part in the organization of the International educational and Patriotic Victory Dictation Campaign within the walls of the Pushkin Tambov Regional Universal Scientific Library. There were a total of 327 venues in the region for the event. The event has been held in the Pushkin Tambov Regional Universal Scientific Library for the fifth year in a row.

More than 60 residents of the region came to the library to test their knowledge. The audience was shown the address of the Head of Tambov Region Maksim Egorov and the broadcast of the grand opening of the Victory Dictation at the central site of the campaign – at the Moscow Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Gora. Andrei Kolpakov, deputy of the Tambov City Duma, and Lyudmila Pronina, Director of the Pushkin Tambov Regional Universal Scientific Library, greeted the participants.

The participants were given 45 minutes to finish the Victory Dictation but lots of them successfully completed his tasks much earlier.

One of the innovations of the event this year is the "Letter to the Hero" campaign. Within its framework, it was possible to send wishes to the participants of a special military operation.

Holding such actions helps to preserve the memory of the exploits of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War and reflects the great interest of citizens in the history of their Fatherland.

The Presidential Library's portal features the Collection of digitized archival documents, film and photo materials World War II in archival documents is available. On May 3, 2024, it was replenished with more than 40 photographic documents and manuscripts from the collections of the Russian State Archive of Literature and Art and the State Archive of the Russian Federation. The materials illustrate the key period of the Great Patriotic War (from November 19, 1942 to November 7, 1944). The Collection includes documents reflecting the cultural life of the country during this period. In addition to digitized archival documents, the Collection contains a list of the main Internet projects, databases, other thematic Internet publications of documents, virtual tours on the history of the Second World War, developed by state institutions of the subjects of the Russian Federation and various organizations.
