Presidential Library hosted multimedia lesson for participants of Vivat, Russia! Forum

Within the framework of the 17th All-Russian Educational Historical and Patriotic Forum "Vivat, Russia!", held in St. Petersburg from July 23 to 27, 2024, and dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the start of the celebration of Navy Day in Russia, a multimedia lesson on "The Science of Victory. Alexander Suvorov" was held at the Presidential Library.

On July 24, high school students from educational institutions in Rostov region participated in the event at the Presidential Library during the forum in St. Petersburg. The children were introduced to the resources of the Presidential Library regarding the history of Russian statehood during the second half of the 18th century, and expanded their knowledge of famous commanders from that time period who influenced not only the development of the Russian army but also the destiny of the country through their actions.

After the multimedia lesson, there was a presentation of three best research papers by Rostov schoolchildren on local history. Victoria Krivosheeva, Albina Rykova, and Anastasia Ivanishcheva presented on the topic "The Valor and Glory of the Don Region: Yakov Baklanov - The Thunderstorm of the Caucasus." Daniil Kargopolov presented "The Significance of the Battle near the Village of Egorlyckaya in the Defeat of the Volunteer Army of Denikin." Natalia Ryabtseva presented "The Years and People Scorched by War: The Occupation of the Mirny Farm During the Great Patriotic War, 1941-1945."

Natalia Polupanova, the Director of the St. Petersburg Education Interregional Multidisciplinary Center, emphasized that long-term cooperation with the Presidential Library aimed at patriotic education of young people in the regions of Russia, and contributes to popularizing historical knowledge among them.

Organizers of the 17th All-Russian Educational Historical and Patriotic Forum "Vivat, Russia!" included the Interregional Multidisciplinary Center "St. Petersburg Education", the St. Petersburg Interregional Center "Education Without Borders", the Academy of Military Sciences of the Russian Federation, and the Council of Municipalities of St. Petersburg, together with higher education institutions of the city, with the support of the Maritime Council under the Government of St. Petersburg.
