The Presidential Library of the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation has started to provide access to its resources in schools in Kherson region.

The first such center was opened at the end of July 2023 in Genichesk's School No. 1 in Genichesky District. Now, students and teachers at the school have full access to the collection of the Presidential Library, which currently contains more than one million depository items.

Library's Collections include books, periodicals, news reels, photographs, educational films, and archival documents on the history of Russia. It also contains materials related to the history of the country in electronic format. Links to these collections are included in the unified history textbook used in high schools. These collections include more than 15,000 documents and materials that cover the history of our nation.

Despite the difficult circumstances, educational institutions in the reunified territories continue to operate actively. Children continue to study during the school year. Various events are organized, often online. The opening of access centers will enable them to join the activities of the Presidential Library, which aims to educate and enlighten the younger generation and provide methodological support for teachers on the use of library resources in the educational process.

The Olympiad Russia in the Electronic World is held annually for schoolchildren on topics related to Russian history, social studies, the Russian language, and Russian as a foreign language. Additionally, the competition of pedagogical projects The Future of the Fatherland in the Hands of Teacher is held annually, with the winners' projects included in the collection of the Presidential Library's digital resources.

The Presidential Library pays great attention to cooperation with institutions in the reunified territories, aiming to create a unified information space in the fields of national and world culture, science, and education, including the history of Russian statehood and the Russian language.

At the upcoming Annual Integration Forum, which will take place at the Presidential Library in late September, it is planned to discuss the efforts of the library, archives, and museums to integrate institutions from the reunified areas into the cultural landscape of the Russian Federation. Projects for preserving and showcasing tangible and intangible cultural heritage, as well as digital transformation initiatives for libraries in the reunified regions, will also be among the topics of discussion.

The Presidential Library's portal offers collections dedicated to the reunified territories: Kherson Region: Pages of History, Zaporozhye: Pages of History, Lugansk People's Republic: Pages of History, and Donetsk People's Republic: Pages of History.
