Murmansk librarians presented with resources of Presidential Library

On November 29th, 2024, a special educational event was held at the Murmansk Regional Center of the Presidential Library. The event, titled Resources of the Presidential Library for Specialists, was attended by employees of the Murmansk State Regional Universal Scientific Library who are responsible for user services and events.

The event focused on introducing specialized specialists to the basic and thematic collections of the Presidential Library that are of interest to readers. Particular attention was given to the institution's resources for local history, as well as significant dates in Russian history and its notable figures.

The On This Day section of the Presidential Library's portal was also presented. Additionally, the audience viewed rare archival documents, photographs, news reel fragments, and other materials that could be useful for librarians in preparing various thematic events.

To consolidate the knowledge gained during the meeting, the participants were tested in the form of an intellectual tournament. The collection Murmansk Region: Pages of History is available on the Presidential Library's portal.

It includes research, statistical materials, archival documents, and visual and video materials that reflect various aspects of the region's development throughout different historical periods.
