The resources of the Presidential Library will be useful in studying the Far East economy

Located in the city of Vladivostok electronic reading room in the Vladivostok State University of Economics and Service was connected to the resources of the Presidential Library. One of the oldest and largest universities of the Primorsky Krai celebrates these days its 50-year anniversary.

As it was pointed out, the event happened as a result of the Presidential Library’s work at the Eastern Economic Forum. The “Point of Attraction — the Russian Far East” collection’s presentation was held. The documents of the Presidential Library clearly indicate the priority of Russia in the development of the coastal territory; this is clearly confirmed by historical facts and evidences. The rector of the university Tatiana Terentyeva told that children will work with the materials of the Presidential Library from their early age: the kindergarten and schools are part of the university system. “Generally the documents of the Presidential Library are important for studying the history of Primorsky economy and application gained knowledge in offering new solutions,” — the university rector said.

So, overall there are six activated centers of remote access to the resources of the Presidential Library in Primorsky Krai. Earlier, the Primorsky Krai Regional Public Library named after A. M. Gorky, the Pacific Ocean Higher Naval School, the Vladivostok Presidential Cadet School and two sites in the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) were connected to the electronic reading room of the Presidential Library.
