The Presidential Library opens a remote electronic reading room at the Korean University

Today, September 29, 2017, in the framework of the strategic conference of the civil society forum "Dialogue Russia - the Republic of Korea" in the Korean University (Seoul, South Korea), the first remote electronic reading room of the Presidential Library in Korea, which provides wide opportunities for scientific and research activities of students and teachers of the higher educational institution of Seoul, was opened. The richest fund has more than 550 thousand units of storage. These are electronic copies of unique archival materials, books and periodicals, audio, video and photo documents on the history of Russia. The hall has become the 34th center of access to the resources of the Presidential Library abroad. Now remote electronic reading rooms of the Presidential Library operate in 27 countries of the world.

Also, an agreement on cooperation between the Presidential Library and the Korean University was also signed. The parties agreed on active cooperation: information support, implementation of joint cultural, scientific and educational projects. The event culminated in the screening of Russian documentary films. The paintings "The Hymn to the Great City" and "Dmitry Donskoy. For the glory of the Russian flag" were demonstrated.

The electronic collection of the Presidential Library "Russia-Korea: from the history of mutual relations" is presented on the portal in open access. The collection includes studies, essays, archival documents and photographs, reflecting certain aspects of relations between the two countries in different historical periods.
