The Russian Center for Science and Culture in Prague hosted the Russian Language Day for Czech schoolchildren

On February 13, the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Prague was visited by fifteen schoolchildren of the Czech gymnasium "Na Zatlanca" with their teacher of Russian language.

Schoolchildren have been studying Russian as the second foreign language for four years, many of them speak it well enough and plan to take the final exam in Russian. Guests wanted to get familiar with the Russian Center for Science and Culture, as well as learn about the possibility of passing the certification exams in Russian as a foreign language to the RCSC.

The gymnasium pupils were shown the Great Hall, where they were introduced to the rich program of cultural events for February, which can be visited here.

Then the guests went to the library, where they examined its rich funds and learned how to become its reader. Among the schoolboys there were also lovers of Russian poetry, who immediately drew attention to the collections of poems by Pushkin, Fet, Yesenin.

Then the guests visited the Russian language courses at the RCSC, where they learned about their work. They also visited the country study room and the Literary Lounge.

Head of the Russian Language Courses Lyudmila Nyklova conducted a consultation for the students on the preparation for the certification exam in Russian as a foreign language at the level of B1. During the meeting, students asked many questions. In addition to the exam and the types of examination assignments, the guests were also interested in the Russian traditions of celebrating Maslenitsa and Easter.

The Presidential Library portal features electronic collection "The Russian language". The collection includes manuscripts and publications of monuments of Russian literature, archives, scientific works (including dissertations and abstracts of dissertations), dictionaries and reference books, textbooks of various types and levels. The digital collection "The Russian language" is of interest not only for the scientific and educational community, linguists and specialists in the popularization of the Russian language on the Internet, but also for a wide range of users who love and appreciate their native language.
