The flag of the Vladimir region is established by the Law of the Vladimir region of April 28, 1999 No. 22-OZ "On the flag of the Vladimir region."
The flag of the Vladimir region is the official symbol of the state-administrative status of the Vladimir region as a full-fledged subject of the Russian Federation. The flag of the Vladimir region is a red rectangular panel with a light blue strip near the pole in the full width of the flag, which is one eighth of the length of the flag. The ratio of the width of the flag to its length is 2: 3. In the middle of the upper part of the blue strip are depicted a golden hammer and sickle. In the middle of the red canvas is a gold image of the coat of arms of the Vladimir region.
