The Presidential Library is taking an active part at the SPIEF'2018

The Presidential Library will traditionally take an active part in the events of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum: from May 24 to May 26, 2018, guests and forum participants will have the opportunity to visit the library with a tour.

Guests will be able to see the restored interiors of the Holy Synod built in the second quarter of the XIX century by Carlo Rossi, to get familiar with the history and architectural features of the building, as well as to view modern premises created for public and state events: a conference hall and a multimedia hall-transformer equipped with the latest technical equipment.

Visitors will also see temporary exhibitions. One of them is prepared for the upcoming 2018 World Cup, another one tells about the first Russian round-the-world trip under the command of I. F. Kruzenstern. The permanent exposition in the Constitution Hall will familiarize you with the history of constitutional ideas in Russia, tell you how the basic law of the country was adopted - the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

Part of the excursion is the presentation of the electronic library collections in the electronic reading room and on the Internet portal. These are books and periodicals, archival historical documents, newsreels, scientific and educational films and much more - more than 600 thousand units of storage.

The tours will be held on May 24 and 26 at 16:00 and 19:00, on May 25 - at 16:00 and 17:30. The group of participants should wait for a meeting with guides in the main foyer of the Presidential Library at the address: Senatskaya Square, 3. Please, note, that entrance to the excursion is carried out upon showing the accreditation badge of the SPIEF'2018 participant.

Within the framework of the cultural program of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Presidential Library will host a gala concert of outstanding artists on May 25 at 19:00 to help the pupils of the Charity Fund "Parents Bridge", which motto is: "Children should live in the family!". The masterpieces of the world classical music will be performed by the soloist of the Mariinsky Theater of People's Artist of Russia Vladimir Galuzin (tenor), People's Artist of Russia Sergei Roldugin (cello), laureate of international competitions, winner of the Elena Obraztsova International Young Opera Singers Contest Natalia Timchenko (soprano), laureates of the Elena Obraztsova International Contest of Young Opera Singers and other talented musicians, as well as the students of the A. Y. Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet.

During the forum on the portal of the Presidential Library a collection of documents, books and other unique materials "The Russian State and Economy" which numbers more than 350 items is available. They tell about the history of the development of national industry and the agrarian sector, financial institutions, foreign trade and economic science.

The Presidential Library, which is managed by the Office of the President of the Russian Federation, regularly participates in major conferences and forums as part of its statutory activities, and, on the occasion of their holdings, enriched the collections with new electronic documents.
