History and Culture: Exhibition “Watercolors by the Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna” opened in Moscow

The Tretyakov Gallery at Krymsky Val in Moscow is presenting the exhibition “Watercolors by the Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna”. A skillful landscape artist, sister of charity and curator of charitable foundations, she began to paint as a child and spent every spare moment painting - her favorite pastime. 

The exhibition showcases works created by the Grand Duchess between 1898 and 1952 during her stay in Russia, Denmark and Canada.

The Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna (1882-1960) was a daughter of Emperor Alexander III and Empress Maria Feodorovna, and a younger sister of Emperor Nicholas II.
