“E-Resources of Yugov Library for Education” project launched in Kurgan Region

“E-Resources of Yugov Library for Education” project was mounted on October 3 at the Public Information Center. Pupils of school No. 29 studied the website of A. K. Yugov Kurgan Regional Research Library and paid much attention to the subject-based electronic portal  “Memory of Zauralye Region”. Pupils also learned about the resources of the Presidential Library, whose holdings feature a great variety of digitized materials on the history of Russia and Russian as the state language”.

Electronic resources available at libraries give them an opportunity to enhance the educational process and make it more effective, while the information content is a chance to broaden knowledge and develop new skills.

The project “E-Resources of Yugov Library for Education” is called to instruct schoolchildren how to make use of the resources of the Presidential Library in the educational process.

On the portal of the Presidential Library Kurgan Region is in the spotlight of “Kurgan Region: Pages of History” collection. The collection features research works, statistical materials, archival documents, maps and photographs of the 19th − early 21st c., which cast light on the administrative, socio-economic, and geographical state of Kurgan and Shadrinsk districts, which make up the territory of the present-day Kurgan Region.
