Pokrov Fair in Tambov Region

The Regional Contest of the Event Tourism National Award took place in Tambov as part of the 8th International Pokrov Fair. Participants from 29 regions presented their unique tourism projects and had a chance to discover the culture of Tambov Region.

The Tambov Regional Center of the Presidential Library at the Alexander Pushkin Regional Research Library held several working meetings, which were attended by representatives of the Directorate of Education and Science and the Directorate of Culture and Archives of Tambov Region.

Guests from Vladimir, Belgorod, Kaliningrad Regions, Sevastopol and the Komi Republic learned about the portal and resources of the Presidential Library.

The Tambov Regional Center and Alexandrov Arts Museum of Vladimir Region concluded an agreement on cooperation as part of the event.

Tambov Region is in the spotlight of “Tambov Region: Pages of History” collection available on the website of the Presidential Library. Studies, statistical materials and archival documents of the late 18th – early 20th c. shed light on the administrative, economic, demographic, educational and religious issues of Tambov Governorate. The collection also features the current charter of Tambov Region.
