IT and Archives: Documents of the Russian State Military Archive digitized

ELAR Corporation has completed digitization of documents at the Russian State Military Archive.

The largest archival institution of Russia houses military and historical documents of the Soviet epoch and almost all military documents relating to the Red Army (from 1918 to 1940), forces of the the All-Russian Extraordinary Commission (the Cheka), the Unified State Political Administration (the OGPU), the People’s Commissariat of Internal Affairs (the NKVD), the Ministry of Internal Affairs (the MVD) of the USSR (from 1918 to 1991), the history of the White movement, foreign documents on the history of more than 20 countries of Europe, Asia and America (16th-20th centuries), papers of the Main Directorate for Prisoners of War and Civilian Internees of the USSR (1939– 1960), as well as personal documents of prominent military figures.
