Commemorative dates of Russia: Exhibition marking the centenary of birth of Mikhail Kalashnikov, automatic weapons designer, mounted in Moscow

The Russian State Library (the Marble staircase exhibit space) presents an exhibition “Mikhail Kalashnikov and Arms Production in Russia”, which marks the centenary of birth of Mikhail Kalashnikov, legendary Soviet and Russian designer of automatic weapons.

The exhibition showcases materials from the Russian State Library’s collections that cast light on Mikhail Kalashnikov’s life, which was closely connected with the development of arms production in Russia in mid-20th — early 21st c.
