Memory of Russia: Government of the Russian Federation approved a project of the Rzhev Memorial to the Soviet Soldier

The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev has approved the project of the sculptural composition work for the Rzhev Memorial to the Soviet Soldier in Tver Region, which was presented by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The order is published on the legal information portal.

In November 2018 a stone was laid at the base of the memorial. The construction of the Rzhev Memorial is included in the plan of major activities related to preparing and holding of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The memorial is due to open on May 9, 2020.
