History and Culture: Works of artists of the Russian avant-garde go on display as part of “Union of Youth” exhibition in St. Petersburg

29 July 2019

The exhibition “Union of Youth” is presented in the Benois Wing of the State Russian Museum (St. Petersburg). It will be open through September 2, 2019.

The society of artists “Union of Youth” in St. Petersburg was the first officially registered association of artists of the Russian avant-garde. It was established on February 16, 1910, before the Moscow-based Jack of Diamonds. The Russian Museum has the most representative collection of works by member artists and exhibitors of the “Union of Youth”.

The exhibition showcases about 200 items: paintings, graphics, scenographic projects, as well as posters and archival materials.
