The event timed to the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Russian-Vietnamese diplomatic relations held in Hanoi

A friendly meeting at the Ministry of Public Security timed to the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Russia was held on December 15, 2019.

The program of the event included a festive concert performed by the honored artists of Vietnam Ngok Khang and Thanh Tam, as well as the team of the Theater of the People’s Police of Vietnam.

The event was attended by a delegation of representatives of the current and former management of specialized educational institutions of Russia arrived from Russia, including: the Academy of the State Firefighting Service of the Ministry of Emergencies, the Academy of the Federal Penitentiary Service, the Volgograd Academy of the Ministry of the Interior and the branch of the V. I Kikotya Moscow University of the Interior.

The event was also attended by heads of departments, officers and employees of the Ministry of Public Security of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, diplomats of the Russian diplomatic mission.

The Russian Center of Science and Culture in Hanoi was represented by the Coordinator of the Russian language courses and programs in Russian language K. Vinogradov and the President of the Vietnam Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature Fung Chong Toan, who teach at the Academy of Public Security, and also participate in the preparation of scientific and methodological programs in the Russian language in educational institutions.

The Presidential Library is an important partner of the RCSC in Hanoi: since 2018, its center has opened remote electronic reading room. RCSC visitors get full access to the materials of the electronic collections of the Presidential Library and they also can get familiar with the documents, medieval manuscript books, print publications, photographs, maps, modern scientific research on the history, theory and practice of Russian statehood. Of particular interest are the publications of the Russia – Vietnam: the History of Relations collection on the history of the Vietnamese people and their struggle for independence, the works of Russian and Vietnamese scholars, which feature domestic and foreign economic development of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, as well as documents covering individual aspects of Russian-Vietnamese cooperation.
