
Memorable Dates of Russia: Exhibition "Tsar the Peacemaker and the Russian Army. Marking the 175th Anniversary of Alexander III" to open in Saint-Petersburg
On March 12, 2020, the Military Historical Museum of Artillery, Engineers and Signal Corps (Saint-Petersburg) will open the exhibition entitled "Tsar the Peacemaker and the Russian Army. Marking the 175th Anniversary of Alexander III".
The Military Historical Museum of Artillery, Engineers and Signal Corps collection contains lots of materials about the various periods of life and the long-term reign of the Russian Emperor Alexander III. First of all, it includes his personal belongings (uniforms, items of weapons, documents), as well as memorial things from the collections of army and guard units patronized by the emperor.
Many of them will be showcased at the new exhibition, which will feature the milestones of the life and work of the Russian emperor Alexander III, as well as the military service of Alexander Alexandrovich when he was the heir, and the changes in Russian Army during his reign.
The exhibition features a large volume of paintings, graphics, rare archival photographs.
