Russian Culture Abroad: Italian Festival delle Nazioni devoted to Russia this year

Festival delle Nazioni in Italian city Citta di Castello is devoted to Russia this year. The event focuses on the art of the Silver Age.

"This year, we will present musical trends that developed in the late XIX - early XX centuries: Rachmaninov, Scriabin and Medtner, the music of young Prokofiev", said the festival's head, Aldo Sisillo.

The pianist Dmitry Shishkin will perform at the opening of the show. The festival will feature a concert of arias from Russian operas performed by mezzo-soprano Maria Komarova, an educational project "Peter and the Wolf", musical and poetic compositions with verses by Russian poets.

The festival will run on August 22-29.
