The autumn session of the "Breakfasts with the Presidential Library" project continues

Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library, based on the Belinsky Sverdlovsk Regional Universal Scientific Library, invites colleagues to join the interactive project "Breakfast with the Presidential Library".

The autumn session of the methodological meetings "Breakfast with the Presidential Library" includes five informal online discussions, practice-oriented webinars. They are addressed to representatives of the regional network, curators of remote electronic reading rooms, as well as specialists in the field of culture and education interested in promoting the information resources of the Presidential Library.

On October 2, the theme of "Breakfast" sounded like "Collection "The Second World War in Archival Documents": Content, Partnership, Media Strategy". As part of the event, Alexei Voronovich, senior researcher of the department for the formation and processing of information resources of the Presidential Library, spoke about the concept and creation of a unique information resource representing the first part of the complex of digitized archival documents, film and photographic materials "World War II in archival documents", about its significance for the scientific community and the general public.

The director of the branch of the Presidential Library in Tyumen Region, Oleg Shor, outlined the main vectors for promoting the complex among schoolchildren, shared his experience in holding thematic lessons in Tyumen educational institutions.

Denis Cheremisin, director of the Reserve Center of the Presidential Library (Moscow), continued the topic. He spoke about the multimedia exhibition "The Great Patriotic War, Which Determined the Outcome of the Second World War", which includes more than 500 official documents, photographs, maps and other materials that were included in the first part of the complex of digitized archival documents, film and photographic materials "The Second World War in Archival Documents" ... The interactive exposition was presented on June 24, 2020 in the building of the Manezh Central Exhibition Hall as part of the International Press Center for Journalists covering the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The Presidential Library’s portal provides access to the large-scale electronic collection "Memory of the Great Victory", which includes official documents, photographs and newsreels, wartime newspapers, propaganda publications, collections of articles, testimonies of participants in combat battles and home front workers, their personal documents and many other materials.
