Word Culture: "Plots and Images of Nizami" exhibition to open at the State Museum of Oriental Art

On March 11, 2021, the State Museum of Oriental Art (Moscow) will open the "Plots and Images of Nizami" exhibition, devoted to the 880th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi.

The celebration of the 880th anniversary of the prominent Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi will be one of the central events in the cultural life of Russia and Azerbaijan in 2021.

The "Plots and Images of Nizami'' exhibition will run from March 11 to May 3, 2021, at the State Museum of Oriental Art with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. It also involved the State Hermitage Museum, the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the Alexander Radishchev Saratov Art Museum, the "Arkhangelskoye'' Museum-Estate and the Mardjani Foundation.

The exhibition presents 57 museum items: manuscripts, miniatures, graphic works and paintings, as well as household objects. They show the great influence of Nizami's oeuvre in the fine arts.
