Society and Reading: Date of the All-Russian Contest "The Most Reading Region" announced

The Russian Book Union, with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, is holding the All-Russian Contest "The Most Reading Region". The participants are regions of the Russian Federation that pretend to be titled "The Literary Flagship of Russia".

The contest aims to encourage the contribution of Russian regions to the development of literature and their efforts to increase the accessibility of reading for Russian citizens.

Ulyanovsk, Voronezh, Irkutsk, Belgorod Regions, Saint-Petersburg and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) were the literary flagships of Russia.

The contest is held from June 1 to November 12, 2021.
