The Presidential Library's virtual tour spotlights the confrontation in Donbass
The Presidential Library's portal provides a virtual tour of the exhibition of the Military Historical Museum of Artillery, Engineering Troops and Signal Corps “Only together!” Only forward!" – a joint project of the library and museum.
The virtual exhibition tells how military events developed in Donbass until February 24, 2022 and after the launch of a special military operation.
One part of the exhibition space is dedicated to the troops of the Russian Federation and the armed forces of Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Lugansk People's Republic (LPR), including before reunification with Russia, the other part - to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Ukrainian nationalist battalions and mercenaries fighting in their side.
In total, the virtual exhibition features more than 300 exhibits.
Among them are genuine relics of modern history - items handed over by the comrades of fallen soldiers as wel as personal belongings of the legendary commanders of Donbass and the first flag of the DPR (different from the current one).
As part of the virtual tour, one can learn about the exploits performed by Russian soldiers, see weapons, military equipment, insignia, stripes, as well as the metal sculpture “Flower of War” made from a cannon casing.
The exhibition also shows the neo-Nazi ideology of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers and mercenaries, as well as the participation of NATO soldiers in hostilities.
Virtual projects are an actively developing area of activity of the Presidential Library, thanks to which unique materials become available to a wide audience.
