The Open Day of the Presidential Library held in Altai Republic

On May 16, 2024, the specialists from the Regional Center of the Presidential Library, based at the Chevalkov National Library in the Republic of Altai, hosted an Open Day for library staff from the region. This event was the first of its kind in the area and was timed to coincide with the 15th anniversary of the Presidential Library.

During the event, relevant specialists shared information about the library's electronic resources and demonstrated how to use advanced search tools on the library's website. First-year students from the Gorno-Altaisk Economic College also attended the event and participated in a training quiz called "Presidential Library". Two teams of librarians competed in the quiz.

After the seminar, there was a roundtable discussion where the main industry issues and challenges were discussed. Participants decided to hold similar events at all Remote Access Centers across the Altai Republic the following year. The collection Altai Republic: Pages of History is available on the Presidential Library's portal. It contains official documents, research papers, archival materials, statistics, visual and audio-visual materials that cover various aspects of the region's development throughout different historical periods.
