Metric books, which allow residents of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region to reconstruct their family trees, will be added to the electronic collection of the Presidential Library and made available on its website from anywhere in the world. These unique documents were preserved thanks to Marina Semenovna Ratnikova, an honored citizen of Vsevolzhsk, who for many years headed the Vsevolozsk Local History Museum.

She dedicated her life to preserving the history of her hometown. According to Marina Semenovna, metric books were brought to her in the early 1980s. Based on these books, local historian Vladimir Kudryavtsev conducted research, and then donated them to the Local History Museum of the Toksovo Secondary School named after Hero of the Soviet Union Vasily Yakovlevich Petrov, where they were digitized for the Presidential Library's collection.
