Round table dedicated to historical and patriotic project "The Book of National Memory" held in Sverdlovsk region

On August 21, 2024, the Book of National Memory round table was held at the Regional Center of the Presidential Library, based on the Belinsky Sverdlovsk Regional Universal Scientific Library. The event was organized to commemorate the past and to provide a memorial for future generations.

Representatives from the library community, patriotic organizations, cultural groups, university and school educators attended the event. The participants were introduced to the publications that form the regional historical and patriotic project, The Book of National Memory. The goal of this project is to foster patriotism and preserve the memory of the Great Patriotic War.

The participants agreed that projects like the Book of National Memory should be continued and made accessible to everyone. The portal of the Presidential Library presents a set of digitized archival documents, films, and photographic materials titled World War II in Archival Documents. This collection contains a vast number of materials related to the Great Patriotic War.

Another collection available on the Presidential Library portal is Sverdlovsk Region: Pages of History. This collection includes statistical materials, research papers, essays, and photographs from the 19th and early 20th centuries, highlighting various aspects of regional development.
