Boris Grigoriev is a representative of the Russian avant-garde. He graduated from the Stroganov Central Art and Industrial School in Moscow (1907), studied at the Higher Art School under the Imperial Academy of Arts (1907-1913). Member of the art association "World of Art" (1913-1918) and the first Professional Union of Artists in Petrograd (since 1918). Exhibited since 1909: exhibitions of avant-garde art of the Triangle group, exhibitions of the Association of Independent and the World of Art Association, the first State Free Exhibition of Works of Art (Petrograd, 1919), etc. Worked on the festive decoration of Petrograd for the first anniversary of the 1917 revolution of the year.
